RT, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, has inspected buildings in Bangkok following the earthquake, confirming their structural integrity and safety while supporting future safety standards.

Mr. Panat Kangsuvarn, Deputy Managing Director of Engineering at Right Tunneling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in tunnel excavation, civil engineering, and geotechnical engineering, revealed that the company has deployed a team of engineers to cooperate with the Damage Assessment Center of the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning to inspect the safety of buildings in Bangkok affected by the earthquake.

The buildings inspected by the company include the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Headquarters, the Office of the Attorney General, the City Pillar Shrine, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (Khlong Toei Headquarters), the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (Ploenchit), and the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahidol University, all of which are significant for the operations of various agencies.

Inspection results indicated that the structures of the buildings remain strong and stable, showing no signs of damage that could affect their stability following the earthquake. RT has fully cooperated in conducting thorough inspections and has proposed measures for maintenance and prevention of potential future damage.

“RT is fully prepared and pleased to collaborate with government agencies as a business in engineering to ensure that buildings in Bangkok are safe and can effectively withstand the impacts of earthquakes,” Mr. Panat stated.
